Pt. Damodar Sharma Ji
Originally from Himachal Pradesh, India, Pt. Damodar Sharma Ji came to Canada in 1993 and began serving the Hindu community at Vaishno Devi Mandir in Oakville, Ontario. From 1993 to 1998, he dedicated himself to religious service before continuing his work in Houston, Texas from 1998 to 1999.
From 1999 to 2016, Pt. Damodar Sharma Ji served the community through Pickering Devi Mandir, where he became widely respected throughout the Greater Toronto Area for his knowledge, dedication, and commitment to preserving Hindu traditions. In 2016, he became one of the founding members of Sri Vrindavan Dhaam, where he continues to serve the community today through religious ceremonies, spiritual guidance, and cultural programs at Jai Durga Mandir in Scarborough.
Providing services in both Hindi and English, Pt. Damodar Sharma Ji has helped countless families celebrate weddings, perform sacred rituals, and navigate important life milestones with authenticity, compassion, and devotion.
Pt. Vishal Sharma Ji
Born in India and raised in Canada from a young age, Vishal Sharma has been actively involved in mandirs and the Hindu community throughout his life. Having completed his education in Canada while remaining deeply connected to his cultural and religious roots, Pt. Vishal brings a unique understanding of both traditional Hindu practices and modern North American life.
Under the guidance of his father, Pt. Damodar Sharma Ji, and a respected lineage of Himachali Pandits, Pt. Vishal has studied and practiced Karma Kaand and Hindu religious traditions for many years. For over five years, he has been performing and assisting with weddings, griha pravesh ceremonies, havans, Satyanarayan Kathas, naamkaran ceremonies, and a variety of other Hindu religious services.
While maintaining a full-time professional career, Vishal dedicates his evenings and weekends to serving the community through spiritual and religious services. Outside of his professional and religious commitments, he enjoys fitness, sports, outdoor activities, and community involvement. His goal is to help younger generations remain connected to their faith, culture, and traditions while making Hindu ceremonies meaningful and accessible for families growing up in Canada and across North America.
